So, all of a sudden my incoming emails went directly to the "Junk" folder for no apparent reason. When I go to the Junk folder to view my emails, they don't show up in the right viewing column.

And when I try to send them back to my "Inbox," they don't go there and I have no idea where they go. I can't see them anywhere. I've checked my outgoing settings and they're where they are supposed to be....as well as my incoming server settings. They are where they should be. I use Comcast, and have checked with them, and those settings are correct

So at this point I have no idea what to do, and obviously need help from someone much more knowledgeable then me! Hopefully I've explained the issue clearly, and have made it easier for those of you out there. I'm not a computer dummy....but this has be quite baffled, as it came on suddenly, and had weird characteristics.

Thanks to all,

Michael...

tb version 115.18.0 64bit accompanied with KSOS 21.21.7.384 now.

with the previous version of KSOS i had this setup for a while now and it worked fine. thing is, kaspersky auto- updated and now, when i first boot my pc and start tb it goes unresponsive (white) for 2'-3'. after that, every time, i get the message account processing...... tabs are now empty.when it rebuilds, i input my password and it starts downloading messages adding to the list. could be, say, 30' later i press the "get messages" and in return "connection XXX was reset". when i try to send its "the connection to SMTP timed out". restarting TB doesnt do a thing. restarting PC, goes around in a loop, unresponsive etc etc. exiting KSOS though, fixes the problem but temporarily. once i restart KSOS TB is working fine for some time until i get the connection reset again some time after.... anybody else having this trouble as well nowdays? any potential fixes?

I enter the username and password and press done and it brings me to a screen saying thunderbird wants to access your google account, telling me to press allow. But there is no allow button to push (see screen info below). I have changed my accessibility settings to see the full screen but there is still nothing. I can't do this without an allow button. Since a couple of days I have a problem with Thunderbird. I can send normal emails without attachments and I have no problem, but when I attach, it keeps loading in 12%, as if it was checking the files, and from there it doesn't go beyond that until it gives a timeout error. I have tried with another email client and it has worked without problem from the same computer. I have paused the antivirus protection in case that was the problem, but it hasn't been the case.

Dear Mozilla volunteer,

I tried to attach a file created in MS Word 365 to an outgoing Thunderbird email message on a desktop computer running Windows 11. An error message immediately said "file not implemented", and it would not accept this message as an attachment. I asked Google how to implement this file, and its reply was a completely inscrutable AI-generated set of instructions readable only by a professionally trained IT expert (if indeed such a person even could read it).

My question to you is: How do I "implement" a file so that Thunderbird will accept it as an attachment? OR: Can you modify Thunderbird somehow so that "implementation" is not required?

Thank you for considering this question.

I've inadvertently made some change to 'Open with' so that when I add an attachment I can not open it within the email I'm sending. It opens for the recipient but not for me. When I click on the attachment nothing happens. It doesn't occur for all attachments but it seems to be for any attachment requiring 'Photos' as the option to open. Can you help please?

For weeks I've been struggling with emails coming in only every couple of days. I've been struggling with your Thunderbird option, probably causing even more problems. Can someone step in and solve this??

I have a second email source which has been working. It's 2@soonysystems.com . My first account which has the problem is 1@sculptorjohnston.com . My provider has set up my two emails so the 1@sculptorjohnston.com rides on the 2@soonysystems.com. Aerohost.com that operates these two says this is not caused by them.

What can I do to solve this????

When I attempt to print an email that has remote content and I have blocked remote content, Thunderbird's print function fails. When printing with plain text it just hangs as the automatic content downloading notice pop-up spins trying to download alternates between 0 and 1 bytes. Changing the view to simple html or original html does not resolve the problem. When viewing in original html you can see the yellow warning banner stating "To protect your privacy Thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message."

I have blocked remote content through View --> unchecking "Display Attachment Inline"

under

Tools -> Settings -> Privacy & security --> unchecking "Allow remote content in message"

The solution of just allowing the content will not work since that open the security hole trying to be closed. Formerly this worked, it seems like something in a recent update gets the routine stuck in a loop as it will not allow printing if there is remote content. Thunderbird hangs and needs to be manually terminated. This appears to have stopped working in the last couple of months.

exceptions. To do this, go to Tools > Options > Privacy and check the box for "Allow remote content in messages".

Thunderbird is set as my default email client on my desktop Windows 10 in the default apps and it's set in the Default Programs control panel but when I try to send a document on my desktop to mail recipient, a message comes up saying there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. It is set in Thunderbird as well as the default mail client. Cortana is no longer accessible on Windows 10 on my pc. Thunderbird is set as the email client in the registry settings, I have only a few Startup programs running on startup and cleared the cache in Thunderbird so I don't know what else to do to fix this?

Dear ..,

For some time, I have my Thunderbird calender synchronised with my iCloud calender. The way I managed that before was this way: https://ekiwi-blog.de/en/65232/thunderbird-synchronize-with-icloud-calendar-and-contacts/

Today all of a sudden, one of the agenda's went 'missing'. I tried to get it back but without any luck. Therefore, I tried to setup the synchronisation completely new again (with new app-specific password). However, it won't work. I am getting the message that 'references used are not accepted'.

Can you help me solve this? Appreciate your help

Regards, Erica

There is a Thunderbird profile folder located in Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\********.default-esr\ImapMail\. It is 49GB in size. How do I get Thunderbird to access this folder and these emails? Do I rename it and/or move it to a different location? Please help. Thanks.
