Hope someone can help me to figure out how to fix the email message reading screen issue.

I have Thunderbird version 140.3.1esr (64-bit), the "latest version," on Windows 11 64-bit.

Everything looks good, except the email form HTML format looks very bad; it looks like design time on HTML, and any link is not clickable. Also, when I open the message, the HTML shows as an HTML file attachment (see the image), while the same email looks good in the message pane window.

I have multiple email accounts; I always see the annoying yellow message telling me a "unique identity matching the from address was not found"

Also, for some reason, Thunderbird disappears from the Windows status bar when I close the message, not the application, or when I click on another program.

I cannot log in to Thunderbird because I don't remember my password. I'm having a problem changing my password, not getting any options, no screens to replace it.

I have a filter that moves emails based on the Sender... to a Local Folder (*) The system is set to [Filter After Junk Classification]

Every new email moved (by the Filter) to this Local Folder is marked as Junk. I manually set each email as not-Junk but the issue persists. (*) I have added a Filter action (as well as the Move): Set Junk Status to Not Junk (but this is not successful)

Any suggestions to fix, are welcomed.

I just installed Thunderbird and wanted to use it for my old gmail and my current icloud emails, however, while the gmail one logs in fine, each time I try to log in with my icloud email with the correct password it says "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration username or password.". Am I doing something wrong?

bold textA little while ago, all of the messages coming into my Thunderbird app, do not expand graphics etc in the email. I just get strings of code and web stuff.. I cannot find the setting in my Thunderbird that will cause it to automatically translate all of these codes. Help please !

using thunderbird 143.0.1 64 bit. is any one having an issue with emails opening spontaneously? I have run two anti-virus programs and come up with nothing. when i leave thunderbird up and come back to it there will be emails open that i know i didn't open previously.

Hi: I don't know where this issue should go, admins pls decide. T-bird 140.3.1 esr 64b. W11p laptop, asus f17 w/i7 alder lake from around 2021. This is "important" cause I don't know where the issue lies (hardware speeds or software?).

This has been an off & on issue for almost decades now. I really can't change the email specifics at all. This group started as a yahoo group, which had my email in hotmail.

The filter only works sometimes. Today is another instance of the filter not working. Sometimes the filter works, and then with a new t-bird update, it fails, but not always immediately.

The filter is to: move the "bbmde1" msgs to a folder still located in the hotmail account listed on my laptop as residing in the hotmail acct. But I've noted in the filter, that these sends from the bbmde owner, are from her gmail acct (not assoc w/yahoo/hotmail, for yrs).

The sometimes working workaround is to look at another t-bird acct on screen (like archives), then click back to "inbox" - unified folders, classic view - and sometimes (hence this email) the msgs go to the right acct/folder w/o further input, sometimes not. Sometimes I have to physically delete the msg.

Is this an "update" failure, that is, I must re-create the same filter, or create a new one to get the filter to work?

"Working" means, on opening, t-bird moves the "bbmde1" msgs to its own "bbmde" folder automatically, no needed input from me. T-bird doesn't leave these "bbmde1" msgs in "inbox."

The new machine is not quick to send a post to junk or trash. I see a message about downloading it before I see it move. Going over settings comparing both, old machine was set to a Pop mail server. The remote helper changed that oh New one to IMAP Mail server. I'm assuming that is the problem but I can't find how to change the new setting from IMAP to POP. There is a red Delete button on the A/C settings page. Should I try that?

Also since I couldn’t use the profile from corrupted old machine I've manually input everything in the new. I have used the Draft files in the old machine as a sort of reminder for me and want to copy it and bring it Into the new machine. Is there a way to do that?

Starting this week, an increasing percentage of, BUT NOT ALL, incoming e-mails are coming through unformatted, which makes them almost unreadable. In the Cards pane nothing appears except the time stamp. The same messages appear fine in Thunderbird for Android on my phone. Anybody have any clue as to what's going on?

I have made under Win10 a backup file for Thunderbird: 140.3.0 (de)-2025-10-01.pcv. Now under Linux Mint I want to make update for Thunderbird, but the file *.pcv cannot be read. Please for help.

hello the flatpak update command tells me that the runtime is eol and its used by the flatpak thunderbird. can you please update the runtime soon? i add a screenshot of the issue, its in german. please review this as fast as you can please greetings oski

hi, Icannot copy, delete, move, send, receive messages On TB I have 4 different accounts. 2 work perfectly, 2 have this problem. I can't not possible delete, copy, move, send or recieve messages, I have 4 comptes, 2 run perfectly, 2 have this problems. TB is instaled on a old PC (10 years) W 10 Intel core i5, changed the DD to a SDD 500 GO and RAM 12 Mo. now I have installed TB and restored the directory "Profiles" on another PC, only 2 years old and TB run very well Thank you for your help Please excuse me for my english.

Just opened TBird (Unified Folders) and scrolled down to empty Trash with 536 emails, as i started to scroll through several unread messages to see if any had incorrectly gone to Trash, suddenly the number of 'Trashed' messages increased to 8369, many of them unread  !!!

I have a new laptop "YOGA" with W11. Now I want to add an extra e-mail address. I am in Sweden and now I want to add my Spanish e-mail. It is a " @telefonica.net" address. I only want it to receive mail, to send mail I use my ordinary swedish mail. When I put in the "@telefonica.net" Thunderbird will not respond it says "use only letters and figures etc"

How can I fix this?
