Last time I got a reply, it was telling me f.f had a 'known issue' sore. the "yo've reached your limit for this account profile..create another on!"

 I made one, but it was then as now inte  f.frfering further (white flower icon, having two operating f.f P or more operating at same time-stp[[omg my mac from sleeping, interfereing other ways.
 WHAT I AM ASKINNG IS HOW TO DELETE  THE 2ND AND OTHER PROFILES!  I GO TO MANAGE PROFLES T, AND I SEE THE FLOWER ICONS IN LARGE OPEN FLOER ICON/DRAWINGS WITH 'DELETE' AND A TRASH/BIN ICON BELOW EACH.
   WHEN I TRY EITHER ONE OF THE OTHER PROFILES, IT JUST OPENS THE MAIN FF. PAGE WITH A BLANK SCREEN, NO BOOKMARKS/TOOLBAR...AND DIALOG BOX TO IMPORT P/W'S
  HOW DO I DELETE ANY PROFILE IF THIS SECLECTED METHOD IS FAILED? WORSE, UNDER THE PROFILE I TYPE HERE WITH, IT HAS BOTH ITS NAME, AND THAT DAMN FLOWER ICON BELOW IT WITH "ORIGINAL PROFILE".
  DOES THAT MEAN IT THINKS MY IDENTITY IS BORROWED FROM SOM OTHER IDENTITY?  IS THAT WHY I CAN'T GET RID OF THE ANCILARY ONES?
  THE MOZ. ENGINEER WROTE ME BACK TO SAY THE 'CREATE NEW PROFILE' WAS B/C OF A GLITCH ON THEIR END...IS IT RESOLVED?  I DON'T THINK SO..AND AT THE LEAST, THEY COULD HAVE GIVEN ME INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO REMOVE THAT FLOWER/OTHER IDENTITIES, W.O DELETING THE INFO (B/M) ON THE ONE I USE/WANT!

I am just burned out with Firefox and not sure why I should continue to use it instead of some fork or Chromium-based browser.

It seems like every update brings some new GenAI/LLM component that is auto-enabled and difficult to disable. I do not want GenAI/LLMs in my web browser. I have dropped nearly every other application or software that has forced it on me and included it in their product. I feel like I'm trying manage a Windows system having to follow blogs to debloat, restore privacy, and restore security. GenAI/LLMs shouldn't be in my web browser. And, they should be opt-in, not opt-out in some confusing mix of GUI and about:config madness. If GenAI/LLM is so great, then make it an extension or a fork then let those folks use it from there. Don't bake it into the web browser.

I continue to use Firefox for uBlock Origin but I guess that would be possible with a Firefox-fork. However, I am just tired of having to continuously manage my Firefox browser and battle websites that only support Chromium-based browsers. If Firefox actually seemed intent on improving security and privacy then I could find the motivation but this GenAI/LLM nonsense seems the point of no return.

On my Android phone, I've switched to a Chromium-based browser given the poor state of security and hardening for the vanilla Firefox. I keep IronFox on hand but it is just easier to surf the web with a Chromium-based browser due to many websites just working better. Why should I deal with the pain and frustration of limited Firefox support when Firefox isn't even keeping up with security hardening?

As for desktop, the Firefox browser just doesn't seem as snappy or stable as I would expect. Firefox for Linux is still not supported for Slack Huddles. How is it 2026 and Mozilla/Firefox are still not fully functional with one of the major business chat platforms? Yes, I know this primarily a Slack and AWS-Chime-SDK problem but it is also a Firefox problem because there isn't much that a user can do. I've tried to prod Slack and the AWS teams numerous times to support Firefox but they've just done nothing. I also see nothing being done by the Firefox team, too.

Another example is the EdgeSuite CDN. Nearly always they block my traffic when I use Firefox. Switch to a Chromium-based browser and EdgeSuite is much less likely to block me. This is fairly consistent for the retail and financial institutions I use.

As far as I am aware, many of the security concerns brought up by Madaidan in 2022 still hold true for Firefox today, especially for Android and Linux. If this is no longer true, then it might be good for the Firefox team to post a rebuttal or update clarifying the current state of Firefox. Anyway, I don't see a way ahead for me and Firefox but maybe you can convince me. It just seems like Firefox and Mozilla have lost their way. They no longer seem focused on security and privacy. Instead they're forcing privacy, security, and system resource disasters onto their userbases, just like Microsoft, Google, and every one of the major tech firms. I just don't see why I should use, promote, and even support Firefox going into 2026.

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? Firefox browser when on Foxnews will crash and causes PC to completely reboot? This has been happening on multiple PC's in my house and has been happening for months.

I've been using Firefox since forever but over the last couple of months, the auto translate subtitles (to English) hasn't been working when watching Youtube videos. There's a thread on the Youtube support site with nearly 40,000 posts of people with the same issue and tonight I was trying to watch a video where the hosts talk in Italian, so I use auto translate to English subtitles but no subtitles appear. It will show Italian language subtitles.

I've gone back through this Youtube channel's history trying videos I've previously watched from months/years ago when auto translate used to work but even they're not working now.

I decided to try the video in Edge browser and to my surprise the auto translate to English worked there. They also work in Chrome.

So what could be causing this issue on Firefox, which started about August time?

This is quite bizarre as I assumed all the processing/translation was done by Google/Youtube so in what way can Firefox be part of this issue?

To be clear, subtitles in the (foreign) language the people are speaking, works. Subtitles translated from that language to English (or other languages) has stopped working. Subtitles translated from that language to English IS working on Edge and Chrome browser.

I recently tried to use a DVD and online installation for a Microsoft Office product from a seller who seemed rather sketchy. I couldn't get these products to work so found a different seller and the installation was fine. Now every morning, when i turn on my computer, the Firebox browser has been removed, and i have to re-install all over again. How can i stop it from being removed without my permission?

I wrote about 15 mins ago. Just wanted to add that when I go to profiles and try to delete others, clicking delete takes me to a firef. standard home page (sans bookmarks) and nothing about the 3 flowers/finalizing the deletion!?

I am also concerned about this flower icon, on my mac dock...can't tell if that flower is an abnormality that it thinks my "orignal profile" is not the profile of main use. This isn't just aesthetics: it seems to be telling me if I delete the other profiles, it won't stop that freakin flower icon from KEEPING MY COMPUTER/F.FOX FROM SHUTTIGI DOWN?

All I know is, everytime I go back to manage profiles and open ancillary ones (e.g test 2, Mac 15 Air, etc) I end up with more firefox icons on the right side of my dock!

I continue to have issues with web site appearance. Whether I select "automatic" or off for "contrast control" previously visited links are turned purple. If I try "custom"’ for ‘Firefox’ nothing else seems to stay like I need it to be. I do not have this issue when I use Chrome.

Exported passwords as csv from Firefox from an ailing machine. Imported into browser on new pc and find two sites reject my logins (Outlook & Duolingo). No issues with any other logins. Same logins still working on the old pc. What gives?

Why am I being alerted when I sign in to Firefox to finish setting up my account? I think that I have had an account and already sync my devices for the last decade, but less than a century. When I follow the sync instructions i get put on a loop of needed to "pair from within the Firefox app," on my phone - which I was using when instructed to "open Firefox" very confusing as to what I am doing wrong.

I finally got the search field and the address field on the same line. However, the search field is on the left and I would like it on the right. When I "customize toolbar" and manually switch the fields, it does not seem to reverse them subsequently (after I enter "Done").

What am I missing here?

when using two screens at the same time on windows 11, when switching to fullscreen mode, I get a part of the main screen from the right. I tried disabling extensions, it doesn't help. The latest versions of windows 11, drivers, and also the latest version of firefox are installed.

All searches get blocked by reCaptcha, quoted as being caused by 'unusual activity on the network' After going through the "I'm Not A Robot" process the search is o.k., but this happens for every search. The problem does not exist if I switch to Chrome. How do I fix this?
