This issue started about three days ago. All of the option on top of my Gmail suddenly had disappeared! There's no Google logo, no Search box, no Google+, No Profile picture for me to log-out. Basically, the top is blank but my Gmail inbox information are all there.

This only happens if I use Firefox. If I use Chrome, those options are there.

It seems like something went wrong between Firefox (or some of its add-ons) and Gmail. First, the "x" in the bottom right corner of the Inbox, now this.

Could anyone please shed some lights into what is the cause of these problems?

I would like to add that, once a while, the top options came back if I refresh often enough. But it's a pain. FYI, I do log-off Gmail, clear my cache and cookies every morning.

Also if I use the "basic HTML" option for Gmail, all the top options are there.

And i don't want to check everyone of my extension unless it's the last resort, since it have quite a few installed.

Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated.

Thank you.

OK, I went to my Add-on list and went down to see if I can recall which ones have been updated lately. Then I found the add-on "Gmelius" and thinking maybe that has something to do with the issue. So I disable it and, guess what! All the options came back.

The strange thing is that I have been using this add-on for months and no problem until the last few days. There's no update for it since December, 2013. Then why suddenly the problem came up? Maybe the latest Firefox update has something to do with that.

At least the problem has been solved.

Hi,

If you select all text on the Gmail page using 'Ctrl+A' do you then see the link or Google logo?

Hi,

Check also yout list of add-ons. Perhaps an add-on like "Gmail No Logout" has been installed.

Thank you, Laurens Brand, for your prompt reply.

I tried the "Select All Text", no change.

I have been using all of my add-ons for months now and have not installed any new ones for months as well, but do have several updates though. No, I don't have "Gmail No Logout" add-on.

However, when I restarted Firefox with ALL add-ons DISABLED, they all came back. So it must be one of the add-ons' updates that is causing the problem. I guess I'll take some time to disable them one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

I'll post my result here once I finished.

Thank you.
