How can I stop the Firefox taskbar buttons from popping up?

I dont use Tabs. I prefer my webpage buttons to line up across the bottom of my screen just like the old days. I like to see every page that I have open instantly without them being hidden. The problem is that when I get near the buttons, they pop up. This is very annoying when I'm using a photo editing program and I get near the bottom of the photo and too close to the Firefox buttons. The one I'm closest to will then pop up and cover the area of the photo I'm working on. Is there any way to stop them from popping up?

Thanks!

If I understood correctly, you want to disable taskbar previews, which is a Windows feature.

  1. Click the Windows logo orb on the taskbar to bring up the Start Menu.
  2. In the search box, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
  3. In the Local Group Policy Editor window, expand the User Configuration section, then Administrative Templates, then click the Start Menu and Taskbar section.
  4. On the right, double-click "Turn off taskbar thumbnails"
  5. Select "Enabled", then press the OK button.
  6. You may need to either log off or restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Thanks so much! I've been dealing with this for years, but I thought it was a new Firefox feature.
