Bookmarked pages won't show up in bookmarks.
Not too long ago I lost all my bookmarks. I went about creating all new bookmarks. I had a lot of bookmarks and I had just finished organizing them all into folders. The next time I started up my computer they were all gone, and the bookmarks which had been previously lost were returned. Now when I bookmark any page, the yellow star shows it is bookmarked in the address pane, but when you look in bookmarks, the bookmarks are not there. The only way I can save a bookmark AND be able to access it, is to save it as a bookmark, then go back into bookmarks and tell it to save the bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar. If I don't put the bookmark in the toolbar I cannot see it or access it. The pages ARE bookmarked, but they are nowhere to be found. Also there used to be a button in bookmarks that said 'bookmark all tabs'. That disappeared after applying an update about 2 years ago. I have never seen it again in any versions of Firefox. I cant imagine having the technology to save all tabs with one click and then taking that ability away. It is counterproductive and makes no sense. Can you please help me with these issues? Thank you.
NOTE: I am using Windows 7 and Firefox 27.0.1

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
