I am running PCBSD and have no idea how to install Adobe flash player. I can find the file and the ext. is a tar/gz, but still have never installed any thing like that before. I am new to all this type of OS. Tired of Microsoft and all the crashes, bugs and the like.

Did you check the software installation of your Linux distribution to see if you can install Flash that way?

If you have a tag.gz archive then you need to extract the files in this archive to a directory that Firefox scan for plugins.
