Where did Xmarks go??? How can I get it back??? I hope my bookmarks are still there Please do not send me to sync

It is unlikely that your bookmarks are deleted from the Xmarks server as it keeps several backups available that you can restore. Xmarks bookmarks can be accessed by logging in to their Website
Is the Xmarks addon still installed? You can check that from Tools->Add-ons->Extensions. If Xmarks was there, make sure it is not disabled.
If it was installed and enabled, you can add the icon back by following the steps in the article Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars. You can also check the xmarks settings if it is set to add the icon to the toolbar or addon bar.
If non of the above solved your issue, try uninstalling the addon and installing it again.
