My "COMPUTER" bookmark suddenly disappeared, HELP!
Only the "COMPUTER folder/bookmark is missing from my Bookmark Toolbar. Every other Toolbar Bookmark is stable, as is the Toolbar itself. I have known how to restore bookmarks, as I backup frequently. However, in restoring, I will lose a good number of changes, moves, and additions to other Bookmarks/Folders and their respective bookmarked enclosures.
Therefore, using restore in and of itself is, of course, a last resort, but there should be, and long ago there was a way now forgotten, to go to a "library" to restore only the missing Toolbar/Folder, without having to use the restore backup.
Is the above option in question familiar to anyone? Finally, can anyone suggest why this exact situation has occurred under my administration a few other times? What might I be doing to cause this sudden disappearance while I am working within the missing bookmark (which I had neglected to mention earlier). Could something be corrupted? I need some "with it" ammunition for any future episodes! These happenings are honestly traumatic for me...no kidding!
Thanks in advance. Windows 7, Firefox 25.0.1, Google Browser

Hello,
Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
- Use one of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
- Click the Firefox button to open the menu and click on Bookmarks.
- Click the Bookmarks menu and click on Show All Bookmarks.
- At the top of the Library window, click the "Import and Backup" menu and select Restore.
- Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
- In the new window that appears, click OK.
- Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article. For other solutions, see the Recover lost or missing Bookmarks article.

Hello iamjayakumars,
Your much appreciated response to my query is absolutely spot-on. Of my own volition in times past I had employed your directives with success; however, this time I did not want to lose recently saved webpages, references, etc. assigned to various Bookmark sub-folders by using a restore backup.
Having said that, your reply contained perfect information for those who may be less informed as beginners, i.e., absent the information that they may lose that which may have been saved to Bookmarks by restoring an earlier backup.
The good news is that I have secured the missing heavily contained "Computer" Bookmark, which was ever so sneakily and snugly ensconced in another loaded Bookmark. In actuality, I have found that the aforementioned occurs frequently when a Bookmark goes missing.
Many thanks for your kind assistance.
