Stop with the right-click answers. Reload is still missing from my View menu.

Please stop with the "right-click" solutions. I don't have a mouse that does a "right-click."

Also, this forum is so hard to use I can't even find my original post so I am starting another one.

How do I get the "reload" function back into my View menu? Please do NOT tell me to "right-click," that is of no use to me.

I do not use a Mac, but was not aware reload was ever on the View menu.

There is an extension to bring back the Reload and Page Source items in the View menu as posted in your previous thread.

Some entries in the View and History menu have been removed to clean up the user interface because studies showed that these were low usage items.
On Windows and Linux these were already hidden when you used to mouse to access the menu bar and only appeared when you used the keyboard.

  • You can click the toolbar Home button (far right on Navigation Toolbar) or use the keyboard (Alt/Option + Home).
  • You can find Back, Forward, and Reload in the right-click context menu in the browsing area or use the buttons on the Navigation Toolbar.

Sorry, none of that works for me. The icon on the far right of the navigation bar is a little house and when I click it, all it does is take me to my home page.

I don't see anything that will allow me to add the reload function back to the View menu.

Once again this is a case of "if it ain't broke, then fix it." I really don't know why you computer types insist on constant changes that make everything harder to work with. Every time there's an "update" something always gets screwed up. I don't know why they had to "clean up" the View menu -- it looked fine to me.

You can find the combined Stop/Reload/Go button on the right end of the location bar. The reload button looks like an arrow in a circle.

Firefox uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.

  • During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
  • If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.

Hi again pvitari,
Sorry you still have problems. Possibly you do not have the option as previously, but you do have workable options to reload webpages using mouse clicks.

  • Please confirm or explain ?

  • Do you not have a curved blue arrow on the end of the address bar as shown in the above image ?

Your icons may not look exactly like that and will possibly depend on any customising you may have done. The arrow is only available when appropriate and could be: a cross to stop loading, or an arrow to navigate to a site.

See the article

  1. Do you have the curved blue arrow that you are able to click with a mouse to reload your webpage ?
  2. Does F5 work to reload ?
