Can't attach files to gmail message

When I try to attach a file in gmail, I get an error "Attachment failed". This has happened multiple times over the last several days. Never successfully completed with this installation. I have the option of retrying, but it doesn't work. I've tried this in IE, and there's no issue. So it's not a Google problem. Earlier versions of Firefox didn't have this issue.

hello Darlock, as a first troubleshooting step please try to clear the cache & cookies from google.com and reload the page.
