Scripts not working in Facebook since upgrade to v25.0
No problems using Facebook until upgrading to v25.0 this morning. Now I cannot read my PM's, post anything or register a 'like'. Nothing script-based works anymore. No problems in Internet Explorer though. Am I alone with this issue?
Chosen solution
I am having problems with 25.0.1 on facebook and some discussion boards.
I do not have DNTM and, in any even, I still have the problems in Safe Mode and also after resetting Firefox.
I think I will roll back windows as well...at present, it doesn't seem as if anyone is seeing this as a Firefox issue (I don't just mean this thread, but also comments I have seen elsewhere.

Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
To Enable SafeMode
- You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")
I tried all you suggestions but it made no difference. In fact, it was impossible to post a reply here using Firefox. I had to use IE to do it.
I regret I do not have time available to solve this issue so I'm going to restore my system to its state prior to upgarding to v25.0 as I had no problems with v24.0. I will next upgrade when a newer version is released.
I think this is not a Firefox issue, but a coincidence. If you are using the excellent DoNotTrackMe, the scumbags at Facebook have just fixed it so that you cannot use their site without allowing tracking by DoubleClick. I do hope DNTM finds a way round this, or alternative means of restoring privacy can be found. For the security minded FB is becoming unusable.
Thanks for your reply Spamlet however I do use DNTM and despite disabling it for Facebook and DoubleClick, Facebook still would not work.
Having restored my system to the previous day when I had v24.0 installed the problems have disappeared and Facebook works again without having to disable anything in DNTM so it would seem to me that v25.0 is the culprit.
That's odd, because, I understood that this was not just a FF problem, after spending most of yesterday trying to find out. It was odd that not everyone was reporting the problem, and it seemed to be only people using DNTM.
Eg.: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=579421289&v=wall&story_fbid=10151659770386290
I was using FF25, and, certainly, selecting and deselecting to allow DoubleClick, turns the problem on and off.
Rather irritatingly, when I went to check my version, through help/about, it immediately updated to version 26 without asking me; but that means I can now confirm that the same on/off with DoubleClick applies to version 26 as well.
I don't want to risk upsetting things by going back to version 24, but if anyone else is using that version and can still use DNTM on FB without allowing DoubleClick, I would be interested to know, as it would be very good to have that functionality back in a future update.

v25.0.1 seems to work ok with Facebook so for my part at least, the issue is solved.
Thanks for that.
Since my post, I found something else to try.. CTRL+SHIFT+R
This has worked for me.
Closed as far as i am concerned :)
