Meu firefox trava e aparece a mensagem avisando que o firefox não está respondendo

Toda vez que estou usando o navegador Firefox 24.0 ele começa a travar quando está carregando, e quando abro uma nova aba o mesmo acontece, sempre no topo do navegador a seguinte mensagem aparece: "O Mozila Fiefox - Não está respondendo", meu sistema é o Windows7, 32bits.

Carlos, boa tarde, meu problema é muito parecido...eu chego a usar sim, pois gosto do Firefox por causa da rapidez, porem de uma hora para outra ele trava e vc só consegue fechando. Isso esta atrapalhando tanto porque preciso acabar usando o IE. Obrigada se me ajudar. Meu é o Windows 8.1
