Good day to everyone, I need some help regarding this unusual issue, two days ago my firefox stopped responding to online radios. Other websites like youtube are working fine, considering that I reinstalled all the possible needed plugins (flash, shockwave, java, air and even installed the wmp plugin)Im not sure if it's just my computer but the site is (http://pinoydreamradio.blogspot.ca/p/video-chat_13.html).Usually there is a play/pause button on this page but I cant see it anymore(it was replaced by two dancing emoticons). I have tried following some steps like setting firefox in safe mode and double checking all the add-ons, clearing the cache and reinstalling firefox again but to no avail.Appreciate the time and thanks in advance.

Hi guy thank you for all the help, its all working fine now. I uninstalled all the plug ins starting from flash player, included air, java all together, and created a new admin user account (win 7). I installed them all together on the new user and it worked. I then loaded the main user account back and it stayed working, sorry for the trouble and thanks for all the help, More power to mozilla!!!

I've attached a picture, this is usually where the play/pause button is located.

Hello Turbanator,

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

Thank you.

I have attached a screenshot of how I see this player.

I see your screenshot if I hide the iframe with the Flash player

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Thank you Nellus and Cor-el for the quick replies, I have tried the procedures but I am still getting the the issue. I'm so lame on this, I just tried this now for I have been using firefox as my main browser since i got this computer, I downloaded safari and chrome and the bad thing is, I'm also getting the issue on the two browsers, I'm afraid I may have deleted something while updating the plug ins. But when I loaded the first link that was sent (http://cdn.voscast.com/player/player.php?host=s9.voscast.com&port=7990) It was playing like normal and I can also click on the play/pause button. Do you guys have any other ideas?sorry for this one.
