I've seen several posts asking how to uninstall a recent update with a reason for wanting to do this and not one of them actually answers the question. I have an add-on that I really have grown fond of that is not compatible with the latest update and simply want to know how to go back to the previous version of firefox.

Unistall the last version 24.0 and install a previous version is not recommended for your security when you surf the net..tell us what are your problems and we try to resolve the issues...What is this add-ons?

One way to check for extension updates is here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > "gear" button

Regarding your question, did you see this article: Install an older version of Firefox. Make sure the article shows your correct operating system above the article (next to the big Firefox logo) or the links in the page may not be correct for you.

I use a password/login/profile auto-fill program called Abine and it is incompatible with your newest update and I'm very partial to it since I have an excessive amount of accounts and profiles.

I also just tried checking for updates in the manner in which you mentioned above and I see that it is not an add on. It's an Extension, and it is called TACO with Abine.

Hi popimpexpress, you wrote:

If you do not have version 4.53, you can install again from that page as a way to update. I think this will preserve any data you've saved with the extension but I'm not 100% sure.

If you have 4.53 and it isn't working, check out the review that mentions a new Abine product that might work for you.

Or if that isn't the relevant software, you could try the company's site: https://www.abine.com/ (there are 3 different extensions?)

Question here, not an answer so leaving with a unresolved issue.

I strongly want to Un-install Update 27.0 and revert all things back to 26.? Just tell me if I can do this without loosing all my settings and starting over????. 27.0 is not playing nice with a MAJOR website I have no control over nor can I share it online.. The kicker, don't laugh I'm using XP updated to the max. A straight answer please,I've spent hours crawling through answers and questions.

Add me to the List of numerous people who want to un-install a Update. Thanks in Advance for the answer. 02-12-2014

Hi TcMay, please see this article (visit using Firefox 27 to get the correct link): Install an older version of Firefox. Do not uninstall Firefox 27 first.

Hi TcMay, don't you see a link in the article that says "Firefox 26.0 (US English)"? Your preferred language may be different than mine, of course.

My Mistake,I apparently didn't read that since if felt like I I had been on that page so many times before.I never got the page to Download 25, before. That would have worked for me. Thank you.Philipps answer is what I used and it worked terrific. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-esr
