I have noticed that on some websites the navigation buttons do not appear. In particular the TomTom shop would not work in Firefox because instead of the buttons I get a moving icon of bars, like a progress meter, but no button to click. Works fine on the old Explorer I have still on the PC. Also noticed that the Google "paid for" search results do not do anything, (but this may be down to the fact I have blocked doubleclick). Currently running Firefox version 20.0.1 on Windows 7 32 bit. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Regards

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help guys. I was completly locked out after marking the issue solved. The problem with the Google "paid for" search results was also resolved by the reset. Cheers to all.

P.S. I note prior to the reset that you had content blocker extensions etc. Possibly depending on how they were configured and interacted they may well have been the cause of this problem.
