Developer Tools disappeared...any way to get back w/out reset?

I'm using FF on my WinXP machine for some local web development work. I keep it updated, and I've got several extensions active which are also all updated. One day last week the Web Developer submenu lost half of it's menu items for no apparent reason. However in a Private Browsing window the menu is all back to normal. Any troubleshooting suggestions (ie, prefs to investigate) before doing a full profile reset? See image below

Chosen Solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Thanks for the help. In Safe Mode the menu worked fine. I removed all my extensions and added them all back and now it's fine. I'm pretty sure an extension caused the problem I just wasn't able to figure out which one.
