i uninstalled firefox desktop,clicked save bookmarks for later download and now I reinstalled and most of my bookmarks are gone. Please help!
I wanted a clean install of firefox so I uninstalled and reinstalled. checked the box to save bookmarks and settings but upon reinstall, only some info came back

I suspect that the box you checked during the un-install routine was for removing all your Firefox data, not saving it for a re-installation.

Is this with using Firefox Sync?
Did you remove personal data when uninstalling?
Did you backup any data locally?
I tried to restore from my profile but there was only one date available to choose from. All the other dates have vanished because of the uninstall I did through programs and features in win 7. There was an option to save my firefox info in the firefox uninstall feature which i clicked thinking that my info (bookmarks) would be safe for afuture reinstall of firefox.
Which data did you keep?
Did you check if there were still profiles left?

The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and Windows 7 and later versions are hidden folders.

That must be what I did. Currently I have only two options to restore from and both dates are after the time I reinstalled. Thanks for the help.
When I tried to open the file places.sqlite windows could not open the file. When I try to restore from the profiles list there are only two dates available to choose from ans both are after the re installation time.
There isn't and "Old Firefox Data" on your desktop either as a result of a reset?
