I can't close websites I've visited, there is no little x on the open tab of the site I'm on. Didn't have this problem on firefox 3 only having problems with crappy "new" firefox 4, IS THERE A WAY TO GO BACK TO 3?

It is crazy that I can't close my tabs anymore. I have to close out of firefox completely in order to close all of the darn tabs that appear. It is very frustrating! I did find a solution. My son's friend said to use "Ctrl w" to close out each tab. At least this works until firefox fixes the problem!

Are either of you using an add-on (extension or theme) that might be hiding the Firefox 4 close tab (x) button?

See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

If you truly want to downgrade to the previous version of Firefox (Firefox 3.6.xx) you can get it here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older.html
