for weeks I have dealt with all of the above..I paid Microsoft too much to so call fix and clean my system...there was a leak in JAVA...there is a intruder that got in to most systems and in down hidden..it is attaching to ALL SYSTEMS files and is listed as UNKNOWN USER and is taking over ownership on all files.. ...linking itself to facebook (or that is what it wants you to believe) on my system Microsoft deleted from the Reg but never noticed it was attached as a hidden user on certain files....I had to create a new user this week...as issues were popping back as fast as they were fixed..AS SOON AS I downloaded JAVA...it released itself ....I have it listed as "Account Unknown (S-1-5-21-1330211563-1659007443**) and now I am finding it in folders AutomaticDesinations (C:\Users\Facebook\AppData|Roaming .... contacts.....Microsoft Websites......anything and everything you touch ...now finding it is attached as Administrator under contacts c:\Users\facebook.....THIS IS THE BIGGEST PAIN everyone...and it is moving fast...attaching to all links... making itself MAIN ADMIN and you can not delete it...right now I have a trouble ticket AGAIN with Microsoft..but everyone needs to look for this ..it is in the SECURITY area and the most used file folders...I FOUND IT AGAIN DOING A SCAN WITH HITMAN....nothing else can locate it

This does not sound like a Firefox problem. You may want to try a Windows-related forum such as http://windowssecrets.com/forums/ (try the Windows 7 board, or the Security board).

Some software creates a new Windows user account for its own purposes. That may or may not indicate malware.

hi Jscher2000...this is malware...read above again.. Microsoft is involved..but they removed the registry only and not what it was attached to,,,now it is running around taking control over all permissions on system and files..even changed the config on firefox to do not update.

My post was to let all know,,,a few months ago Java released an update with a security leak.....we are thinking this is how it all started,,,but alot of issues I am seeing here that are cleared AND COME back,,,like mine is doing...could be something like what I am dealing with.....

Would appreciate ANY help on at least caging this thing while waiting for microsoft to get back to me..everything that I have disabled it is working around... no real damage done YET that I can see but slowing things down and messing up my poker game lol and the fact I am not longer in control of my computer and files... ALSO I printed off the about config and am seeing alot of user changes...how can I fix?

Hi HeyRoxie, this is not the best site for solving difficult malware problems. There are other forums that specialize in that. Examples of malware removal forums:

Regarding about:config, the non-default settings are stored in the prefs.js file in your active Firefox profile folder. To shed them all in one step, along with your extensions and past sessions, you can use the Firefox Reset feature. Otherwise, slogging through them to look for significant signs may take quite a while.
