When I open Firefox the whole window turns into a pale blue film that makes it impossible to see or use Firefox. Why? How to fix?
When I open Firefox, the window turns into a light blue film that make it impossible to continue using Firefox.Everthing behind the blue film is blurred. I have deleted and reloaded Firefox, but the problem persists. How can I get round this issue? I would very much like to continue using Firefox, but this issue is forcing me to abandon Firefox for Explorer, which I don't like. I suspect that some malicious software could be causing the problem. Please fix. Phil Rees Sydney Australia

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
also see if Firefox opens with a transparent or blank window applies to your situation - if so, it would be interesting to know which extension is involved...
