Chosen solution

hello, you could paste the whole troubleshooting information onto a site like http://pastebin.com/ and then add the link to it into your question.

But why pasting the disabled addons since I do not use it.

you could also edit them out manually - there is no automated way of doing it however...

Try using the option to use an extension to provide this information. That will necessitate you starting another question and carefully following the prompts. Note that puts the information in a separate area and not in your main post. If that fails try to take a screenshot and let us know because it is something that will need investigating.

I have noticed quite a few posts recently where plugins have been listed but not extensions, so maybe there is a bug in the posting system.

If you need to add the information in a post:

  • split the information as required and make two posts
  • unless the post relates to printing problems edit out the long list of print related information

It can make sense to disable add-ons when not in use. Someone may be posting with an add-on disabled, but running in to problems when it is enabled. Adding such information helps us provide answers without needing to ask as many additional questions. Ideally we would like to be able to provide an answer without needing to ask for any supplemental information after the Original Post.

Are you sure that this excessive length is caused by extensions (ad-ons) and not by prefs?

In some cases the print prefs and other prefs can take a lot of space.
You would need to have a lot of extensions to reach this limit.

Are you using the extension or are you using the copy buttons on the about:support page?
