Why are we not able to view live-racing video on Bet America as we have for 1.5 years?

First thing to happen was a pop-up stating we needed a plug-in. After several unsuccessful attempts to download by clicking on the link, we quit trying and went back to Internet Express which works fine. Now we get only a white screen when trying to get the video on Firefox. We are getting quite dissatisfied with Firefox which has been highly recommended by the store where we purchased our laptop. Can Firefox help solve this problem? Thank you.
