A couple of days ago, it just started not scrolling. I can scroll with the mouse scroll button. I cannot scroll with keyboard arrows, up and down. I have checked everything I can think of. There is no symbol anywhere that I can see. I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Checked my options and all. Cannot tell if anything is wrong on some of them. The ones I think I know about are ok. Please help. Thanks.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

hello, maybe you're in caret browsing mode accidentally. if so press F7 in order to leave caret browsing mode again - then the behaviour should be back to normal...
