I lost my bookmark toolbar and it won't come back.

Posted

My son was playing with my computer and now my bookmark toolbar is lost. I've checked it under view and followed all the directions, but it won't come back. Bookmarks are still there, just not on a convenient toolbar.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:

  • "View > Toolbars"

Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:

  • View > Toolbars > Customize
  • Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
  • Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

I had the same problem on v19.0.2. I restarted Firefox in safe mode (Help | Restart with Add-ons disabled), bookmark toolbar reappeared. I closed Firefox and restart it again.

voila.

All you have to do is go to View next to Edit and History at the top of your screen, then go to ToolBars, and click on Bookmarks Toolbar.

Like this: View --> ToolBars --> Bookmarks Toolbar

I hope that helped you, it helped me!
