I updated to Firefox 17 in hopes that youtube videos would stop just randomly freezing or skipping. But instead, it just added a much, MUCH more frustrating problem.

Nothing works anymore, not the homepage button, not the refresh button, not the back button no the forward button NOTHING.

All of the favorites, you know, the things you drag into the bar just below the URL bar? Yeah, none of those work anymore either. I click on them, and nothing happens, it doesn't seem to even register that I clicked it, I just click it and nothing. Absolutely no response from firefox.

Anyone have any clue as to whats causing this? Because this is the single most frustrating thing that has ever happened to me that involves fire fox.

hello ShadeCrenshaw, the Tab Utilities addon isn't compatible with firefox 17 at the moment, please disable it in Firefox > Addons > Extensions until there is a new version available.

regarding the problems with flash - you could try downgrading to flash 10.3 & see if this cures the problem (it would also be interesting to know which antivirus/firewall/other security relevant software is running on your pc).
