When I visit a random site I see words in normal sentences that look like links. When I move my mouse over it, even without clicking at it, I see an irritating popup with the message to win an Ipad. How can I get rid of this?

Hmmm, Sounds like a web address issue. This is not an issue that is associated with Firefox. You'll need to contact the Website Admin.
May I ask what site?
Thanks for your answer. It happens on every site. While it is normal text in Internet Explorer, there are random words in Firefox that looks like a link. When I just move my mouse over it without clicking on it, a popup appears where i should click on the win an Ipad.
I just started getting this problem a few weeks ago. Never happened before. And as the other user said, it happens on both Fire Fox and I.E. Random words get made into links and when you pass the cursor over them, a non-related small popup occurs. There has to be a way to stop this from happening. Any ideas?
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Hi again, sorry for the very late response. Before you do a malware check, I would check to see if you have an application that is causing this. Just search for link in Windows Explorer. I lot of times these types of text-recognition apps can be bundled with free software in order to fund the freeness of the download. If all else fails, try the malware solution cor-el proposed before me.
Dear Sir,
Example page showing spam adverticement. It is shown as a linked word in Finnish VOI = in English CAN. In other places the same repeats n words: man and women showing photos of ladies almost naked. I remember I accepted one program wanted me to install a program to my pc the name I could'nt think it was harmful. In Control Panel Uninstalling Programs I haven't found the program to be uninstalled.
At the same time on the right side of browser came popup windowses showing photos of almost naked ladies normally shown adverticements.
