finds the page then keeps trying to connect continuously

This issue can be caused by an extension (FoxLingo) that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If you use FoxLingo then try to revert for now to the 2.7.3 version.

Thankyou very much cor-el , did that and deleted the extension (FoxLingo) restarted in normal mode and everything now works great,cheers.
