getting ripple effect when scrolling in firefox on macbook pro

Problems with scrolling can be caused by smooth scrolling that has been enabled by default in Firefox 13.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General: Browsing: "Use smooth scrolling"

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
