Firefox won't go
When I had Firefox 3.6, whenever I would enter in a letter, there was a drop down menu that would appear below the search bar. If I found the thing I want, I was able to click on it, and Firefox would go directly to the page, no other clicks required. However, now that I have Version 12, the dropdown menu still appears, but now when I try to click to a page on my dropdown menu, it will show the url, but to actually get to the page I want, I have to click the arrow on the menu bar. how do I fix this so that I can have it like I described in the first paragraph?

Hi ponyparty,
If I understand you right then firefox v12 certainly should do what you describe by default. Just to check I understand you right I'll put it in my own words:
- You click into the awesome (url) bar
- You start typing a web address e.g. 'www.hot'
- Firefox loads the suggestion 'www.hotmail.com' underneath.
- You mouse click on the suggestion under the awesome bar.
- The url populates into the awesome bar but the site does not load
- You click the arrow and the site loads
Is that right?
I think the first thing is to check that it is not one of your addons that is causing the problem. Start firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox and see if the problem repeats. If it is solved then the problem is one of your addons. Start firefox again and disable them one by one until you have found the one causing the problem.
I hope that helps. Let me know if starting in safe mode doesn't solve the problem.
That sounds like it. Before I go into Safe Mode- How do I re-enable the addons if they are not the addons causing the problem?
Modified
You don't need to do anything.
When you start in safe mode you are shown the 'safe mode window' (screenshot on the Safe Mode page linked to above). So long as you don't tick any of the boxes to make changes permanent then the next time you start firefox it will start as normal.
You can confirm that you are not running in safe mode by opening the Add-ons page (Firefox button > Add-ons) . If you are in safe mode then you will see a message in the extensions tab telling you that you are in safe mode and add-ons are disabled.
Sorry I wasn't more clear... What I meant to ask was how do I re-enable addons (once I am outside of Safe Mode)?
All add-ons will be disabled while you are in safe mode. If you exit firefox and open again you won't be in safe mode anymore and all add-ons will return to their previous state.
To disable or enable add-ons individually just go:
Firefox Button > Add-ons > Extensions
To the right of each add-on is a disable button. Click and the add-on is disabled. Then you can click enable to re-enable the add-on.
