Hi, I have firefox redirecting this address http://cureyourimmunesystemnow.com/ to this one: http://cureyourimmunsystemnow.com/wp

I thought it was a cpanel or WP problem and have spent ages trying to solve it. Finally I wiped all my hard work (everything) clean and started all over again - a second time! But still it keeps happening. I only just accidentally discovered though - that it works on every other browser - except firefox. Not only that - it does the same for other firefox users. What's going on? I have had months trying to get my site back online and now I find Firefox is the culprit. What's the reason?

Thanks cor-el, that worked - but I wish I knew about this before wasting months of hard work reinstalling my site over and over again , blaming Wordpress and cpanel features.. Why on earth is THAT feature there??? Surely I should be able to go where I want without that happening? Not impressed with Firefox on this - especially when every other person worldwide I sought help from complained about getting the same thing - and couldn't tell me why.

Anyway - thanks so much for your help cor-el.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You're welcome.

You may have used the link with the wp appended in the past and Firefox may have cached the redirect in that case.
It is always a good idea to clear the cache in cases like that when you are redirected without an apparent reason.

Thanks cor-el, I will be wiser in future. At least I know now. No use blaming Firefox - I was just a bit frustrated because of so much time and effort trying to work it out. i hope you understand. Anyway, more of a relief to finally know what it was.

Thanks again cor-el and have a great day! Peter.
