FF 11.0 The menu bar is displayed but disabled (greyed-out), and I can't Min or Max FF (no buttons). Presumably I could Alt-F4 it, but I don't want to, I just want to be able to move it again. This seems to have happened as a result of accidentally depressing some sequence of keys on the left side of the keyboard. I had to start a new instance of FF to access Help. Any ideas?

Chosen solution

Maybe you opened a website in a tab that has disabled some elements in the user interface.

You can try to open a new window (Ctrl+N) and if it works in that window then drag the open tabs to that window and close the not working window.

Thanks, Cor-el! I didn't know I could drag and drop tabs. When I dragged the last tab, the locked instance of FF went away. I'm convinced that the problem was caused by some combination of keystrokes on the far left end of the keyboard (the problem started when I had my keyboard leaning with its left end on the floor and I bumped it with my foot.) Thanks again for your solution!

I'll say this answer solved my problem but a real solution would be knowing what keystroke sequence I could use to unlock FF from being locked in the top-left corner.  :-)

It happened again, for the same reason (accidentally tapped some keys on the left of the keyboard with my foot) and the problem persisted after Firefox was restarted: Firefox at full screen, no Title bar or associated buttons. This time the Menu bar was initially active, so I began disabling Add-ons. The problem disappeared when I disabled FireSheep, so that Add-on is now OUT!
