When I get CONFIRM CLOSE message, it won't let me CLOSE TABS or CANCEL

Now FIREFOX seems "STUCK". I get the CONFIRM CLOSE message but can"t CLOSE TABS or CANCEL or get back to the FIREFOX TOOLBAR. The CONFORM CLOSE message stays there. I tried to reinstall FIREFOX bit it says I have to close FIREFOX first, and I am unable to do that because I can't close the 4 open tabs.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
