I have both Mozille and IE on my PC. My disktop shortcuts are all in IE. How do set up a desktop shortcut to open in Mozilla
I have an icon with the Mozilla symbol. Click Properties and tried to revise the URL in include mozilla.com but to no avail.
If this is a method what is the set up to add my site's URL

Are you saying that when you try to open a link stored on your desktop that it opens in IE instead of FF? You should take a look at Make Firefox your default browser. Once you've done that, they should open in FF automatically.

Matt, I appreciate your prompt reply. I already use that solution. I am looking for an URL I can put in the shortcut that , when in IE, the URL will say "go to Mozilla.com + (my site).
I have tried several versions but to no joy. Can you or anyone help Thanks David

Are that internet (.url) shortcuts that open the default browser?
You can try to redo the default browser and temporarily make IE the default browser and then let Firefox once again make itself the default browser.
I have an organization site that I sometimes reach with a desktop shortcut. When my browser is set for IE it opens there. When my browser is set for Mozilla (FF) it opens there. I know how to switch back and forth and I do since there are some features of the site that work better in IE and features that work better in FF.
I would like not the switch back and forth. I would like a second desktop shortcut that will open when IE is the browser and then read "go to FF and load my site.
If you want to open a desktop shortcut with a specific browser then you need to modify a copy of the Firefox or IE desktop shortcut and add the URL to the target (command) line in that shortcut.
