I give up! CANNOT get Flash to work with 10.0.1. How can I find an earlier version of Firefox and revert to that?
I can't count the number of things I've tried... including the "uncheck hardware acceleration" fix. Have seen that the problem is now beyond Flash; my online bank site wouldn't let me in yesterday! (Only fix I've found is IE: no Flash or bank problem there...) So all I want is this: an earlier version of Firefox. But I can't find one on the Mozilla.com site. pete

Hi peter911sc,
Have you looked at our Flash plugin troubleshooting section? There is a lot of useful information in there that should help you get to the bottom of your issue.
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article Install an older version of Firefox.
Hopefully this helps!
Thanks. I found a page with multiple old versions of Firefox available -- It was kinda daunting realizing I'm running 10.something and the previous version apparently was 3.6 something.
I wimped out: Still have Firefox, without Flash, but downloaded Chrome, and am giving that a shot. It seems to work fine. (Flash also works fine on my outdated, never used, IE.)
Don't blame me for defecting; blame Mozilla!
Your More systems details... doesn't show a Flash plugin as being installed for Firefox. There are two different versions of Flash for Windows, the ActiveX version for IE and the Plugin version used by Firefox and most other browsers.
1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here:
Adobe Flash - 32-bit Plugin version.
Save it to your Desktop.
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure firefox.exe is closed,
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
- On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen).
