I am trying to move my profile from Firefox 9 on a win xp machine to a win 7 machine with Firefox 10. I have moved a number of Ff profiles from xp to xp machines, but I cannot get this problem resolved. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Are you familiar with the changed Profile folder location?

Win XP and W2K:
drive:\Documents and Settings\Windows login user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile_name

Vista & Win7:
drive:\Users\Windows login user name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile_name

That's usually what throws new Vista or Win7 users for a loop when updating from W2K or WinXP.

I have gone to links suggested but have had no success. I even walked away from the problem for many days thinking I was overlooking something. Still no luck. Can someone that has been successful doing this please give me a helping hand? I would be forever grateful! (did mention that I hate win 7 ?) Thank you!
