Whenever I try to load any rss feed or xml feed in the address bar (I've tried four or five different ones), mozilla attempts to load the page, fails and then stops responding altogether. I've tried creating a new profile to see if any add-ons and/or existing plugins were the problem and they don't seem to be as I arrived at the same outcome with a new profile as well.

This happened yesterday when I was using version 9.0, I've since updated to 10.0.

It's not disastrous as the pages can still load in other browsers but it is a touch perplexing. Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice and I would have tried it had the problem not just resolved itself.

Bizarre.

Try to reset the browser.feeds.handler pref on the about:config page.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
