How do I get the add on called MyWebSearch OFF my Firefox Browser

I have tried everything to get My Web Search "add on" off my Fire Fox Browser page. Nothing works. I tried Uninstalling - that doesn't work even though my control panel says it no longer is on my computer.

Even following instructions on the My Web Search FAQ doesn't do any good. I want that damned thing off my Fire Fox page!

More Information

I thought "uninstalling" would get rid of it - it doesn't.
Re=starting my computer afterwards - nothing helps.
I want to get back to my original Fire Fox Browser PagePage, e.g., no frills, just "Fire Fox" symbol in the center of the page, google search, Norton Tool bar - nothing more.
