My old XP system crashed with Firefox 3.xx. I rebuilt a new Windows 7 system and installed Firefox 9.xx. How can I move my passwords from my old system drive to my new one?
Okay, so I had a Windows XP system with Firefox 3.xx on it. My system developed a major system crash and will no longer boot. Fortunately, all the data is still on the drive and I have been moving various files over to my new system.
Now, my new system is a complete rebuild from scratch. It works great on Windows 7 and Firefox 9.xx. I have transferred most everything I need over to this new system, but the one thing I can't get a good hold on is how to get all my saved passwords off the old system drive and into the new install of Firefox.
I've read a few other articles, but they don't seem to apply for various reasons. I really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Take a look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Recovering%20important%20data%20from%20an%20old%20profile
You might need to install 3.6 first, then update that install. That might be the easiest way. You can find the latest version of 3.6 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
