Problem with streaming sites
I'm so tired of my streaming sites not working properly since the upgrade. (I was hoping the upgrade would help) VERY frustrating. These are the sites. http://www.livestream.com/unclehenry this one sometimes stops all together, http://www.iheart.com/#/live/1/?autoplay=true and http://www.africam.com/wildlife/lc_player_chat.php?sub=nn&ch=popup&sh=tm-1 The 2nd two stop intermittently. I've changed the 'dom' on about;config to false and have checked all the plugins. What can I do now?
Chosen solution
cor-el,
I spent time playing around with the values in dom.ipc.plugins. For anyone else with streaming issues, this helped me. (so far) In about:config under the dom.ipc.plugins.enabled, I left the value at True. All the rest of the 'dom.ipc.plugins' I have left on false and so far I have had no breaks in my streaming. It was just a matter of testing each one on true and false. I don't know if this was the real fix but it seems to have helped tremendously. Keeping my fingers crossed it continues to work as well as it did this morning. Thanks for your help cor-el. I hope this will help others also.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
Do you otherwise have a good internet connection?
Also check your security software (firewall) and make sure that it isn't blocking the plugin-container process somehow.
I'm afraid to make changes to anything in safe mode. I don't know what I'm doing in that area and fear I'll make my problem worse than it already is. I didn't have this problem until firefox upgraded for me TWO upgrades ago. In about:config, all dom.ipc.plugins are set to false. I've checked for updates on the add-ons. I have windows media player, shockwave flash and vlc media. I constantly clear my cookies and history. I don't know what else to do. I love my am radio show and after the upgrade it went to heck. Have any other ideas cor-el? I thought updating to ff9 would fix it.
Cor-el, I forgot to tell you per my internet connection icon, it says Excellent..
