i have tried downloading firefox but the icon now has a 'no entry' sign over the firefox icon and it won't open. whats wrong!!!

I have been using firefox and was recently prompted to upgrade to a new firefox. I followed the instructions and dragged the icon into my apps folder. It had a 'no entry' sign on top of it which I didn't really understand. Now it won't start up and gives me a message saying 'You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture'. Can you help?

You can try alternate and easiest way to download

Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac.
Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
