How do I stop it from redirecting when I click on a link

I search with Google, click on a link, and it redirects. If I go back and click again I get the site I want.

This has happened before. I run anti virus and adware programs without it doing any good. If I reinstall Firefox it goes away.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
