It is present when attempting to customize the toolbar, then disappears when i click done. I can go to 'View', check bookmark and get the sidebar, but i miss the shortcut icon on the tool bar.

Thanks, but perhaps i was not clear. My bookmarks are there. It is the bookmark icon missing from the toolbar. It shows when i am in the toolbar customize mode, but when i click done, it is no longer showing.

Exactly where does that Bookmarks button appear when you are in the Customize mode?

That button will move when it is in the default location, depending upon which toolbar are hidden or showing. In the Customize mode, by default it shows on the Navigation toolbar, but when you close the Customize mode it moves to the Bookmarks Toolbar. If you move that button, where it appears may change and it may not show at all depending upon where you move it to.

in customize, i can drag it to any location on the navigation bar. it was on the right side and i moved it to the left of the address bar. as soon as i click done, it disappears. when i go to customize, it is right where i left it. i can use icon, text, or test/icon and that button disappears as soon as i click done.

I can work around this by going to view, sidebar, check bookmarks, but i miss the button on the toolbar
