Right now when I am using FireFox the FONT and overall text on the web pages are very small. This includes the option menus in top left of browser, the web address bar, and even this here request. Every website I view also shows up with very small font and is hard to see. I would like to make the font larger and cannot figure out how. Please help, Thank you for your time!

Set minimum font size that you are comfortable with. This will be your default font size for all web pages.

You can even set the font type in the same page (Arial, Times Roman, Sans serif etc).

If you want, you can uncheck the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" box in the same page so that all webpages will have the same font type and the same font size you have chosen.

I have set mine to Arial 16 as minimum size. My eyes are saved from font abuse. :)

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

I followed the Default FullZoom Level link and I clicked +Add to FireFox. After it was finished installing I could not find it. I found the manage Add-Ons but did not see it. Please give non-computer people directions. It says an icon would show up on my Toolbar? I don't see one. Please let me know what to do. Thanks

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

  • If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
  • If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
