When I have a firefox browser open each time I open a new tab in the browser the yahoo search bar comes open, how do I shut this darn thing off?? I prefer to use Google as my search engine when I open a new tab.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thank you for your help, however this did not resolve the problem of the Yahoo search from coming open. This is the URL in the firefox browser:

I don't know if this helps, Is there anyway to delete this stupid thing from my computer? Again think you for your help
You probably have something named Freeze installed which is causing that. Look in the Windows Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs (or whatever its called in Win7) and remove that application.

I removed the publisher named Freeze And restarted firefox. and the pain in the butt Yahoo search bar was gone! Thanks for your help
