when loading a youtube video, firefox freezes (but doesnt stop responding according to task manager) until i close the plugin container
firefox prevents me from clicking anything. the screen doesnt white out like normal on windows 7 when programs stop responding. the only way to fix it is to go to task manager and close plugin-container.exe this did not happen until today. i have not changed anything

I'm also having this problem but it seems.. sporadic. It only happens the FIRST time I visit Youtube or view content with an embedded video. If I view more content after that I don't have the problem until I restart.
Firefox hangs for 5 to 20 seconds and I can't do anything with the program during that time - then it unfreezes and loads the video as normal (in all other respects, it works).
I've updated Firefox to the latest version, updated Flash to the latest version and updated Java to the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and Firefox 7.0.1 on a quad core AMD system with 8GB of RAM.
I see a lot of these problems came up a couple of months ago... no solution was ever found?
