In your search box, there should be a small arrow next to the logo whatever search provider is there now. Simply click on that arrow and if you do not see Answers.com in the drop down list then click on "Manage Search Engines" and next click on "Get more search engines."

Answers.com is not included in current Firefox versions. However you can add search engines on the following site. In your case, just type answers.com in the search box. Look under #2.
