The news (stories) I want to read on my home (sympatico.ca) page will not open. It appears to be a Firefox problem that has just started as they open using EXPLORER.
I click on a story which has become underlined but nothing happens.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage: "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
right-click a page on the site, choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Remove all cookies on servers ending with sympatico.ca
Then try reloading the page. If you need to log in to read stories, you probably will have to log in again after removing their cookies.
Does it help?
I followed your instructions and I still could not open the stories (which, by the way require no log in)
Okay, I visited that page and tried some links (e.g., under Celebedge). Nothing seemed to happen when clicking them. Looking at the traffic to the web server, clicking the first link seems to send some kind of tracking request, but then nothing happens at all when clicking later links. Strange. Something is broken there, but I can't tell what.
You can work around the problem for now by right-clicking the link and choosing Open Link in New Tab or Open Link in New Window. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Thanks It worked when I used open link in new window
Modified
You can also middle-click the links to open them in a new tab.
I would assume that it is caused by target="_self" that Firefox is not allowing for some reason.
Wrote to Sympatico...It is now fixed
