I've found installed -without my permission- a "3.12.2.16749" extension which seemed to be slowing navigation. Does anyone know what is that extension and where does it come from?

Doesn't ring a bell. If you right-click its bar here

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions

and choose About or Show More Information, is there anything useful there?

There might be further clues in the extension's code. You can explore for it in your profile folder, but due to naming conventions, it could be hard to identify. Check Help > Troubleshooting Information for clues to its GUID.

No, there was not any useful information; that's why I asked to de Forum. Thank you anyway. And, by the way: I've unistalled the strange extension and FF seems now to be a little faster.

Ask Toolbar. You'll be lucky if it doesn't come back. Try Google and the Search Firefox Help box above for advice on how to get rid of it if it returns.
