I had Firefox 4.0.1 but Adobe updated and my computer running Windows XP shut down. I restarted and Xfinity caem up instead of Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it telling it to be my home page but still I get Xfinity and no Firefox.

How do I get back my Firefox?

Thank you for your response.

The problem I have with Firefox now is that I cannot get the Firefox icon on my computer except on the Desktop. When I click on the icon on the desktop instea of opening Firefox it opens xfinity.comcast.net to the entire screen, no Start at the bottom and nothing at the top of the screen except xfinity.comcast.net.

I have removed and reinstalled Firefox but still get the same results.

Even using IE to go on line does not allow me to open Firefox.

What caliber gun do I need to shoot this computer? ;-)

One possibility is that the page is opening in Full Screen mode. If you press F11, Firefox should switch between full screen and regular modes. Does that make any difference?

Another possibility is that some Xfinity software on your PC requires you to take action (log in? accept a license?) before opening your internet connection. I'm not familiar with the service, but you could ask them why it's happening.

Fantastic!!!! F11 fixed everything!!

Thank you very much! No destruction of the computer was necessary!

Thank you! Give this person a medal!
